Says Biya is Divine Leader
- Ekes Out 3 Cows To Mezam 1A, B & C
- Ungrateful SDF Leadership Boycotts Celebration
President Paul Biya’s 30 years at the helm of the nation was celebrated in grand style in Bamenda by the militants and sympathizers of the ruling CPDM party on Tuesday November 06, 2012.
Before the occasion proper kick-started at 1.06pm at the Bamenda congress hall party house, thousands of the militants poured on the Bamenda Commercial Avenue for a match graced by a CPDM brass band hired from Yaounde by the Mezam I CPDM section president cum the Minister of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic, Paul Atanga Nji, who also triples as the Permanent Secretary of the Security Council.
Leading the match through the commercial avenue, Paul Atanga Nji carried a large effigy of the national president of the CPDM party, Paul Biya as he dressed in the party outfit.
At the congress hall which was full to capacity, Paul Atanga called on the population to renew their unflinching support to the head of state and party chieftain, Paul Biya, to encourage his vision of transforming Cameroon to an emerging, come 2035. Hear him: “Our national President and the Head of State of this country H.E President Paul Biya is a divine leader par excellence. If he was not God-chosen, he wouldn’t have been able to lead our country successfully for 30 years and continue to be beaming with such exuberance”. He opined that Biya has virtually done everything for Cameroon most especially as he has brought stability, peace, unity, democracy and development to the country.
Since Biya took over in 1982, Minister Paul Atanga said his doctrine of rigour and moralization has continued to reign supreme, reason why he is intensifying the war against corruption and embezzlement. “I call on the CPDM militants not only to bury themselves in celebrating His Excellency, President Paul Biya’s 30 years in power, but equally to testify and give evidence of his great qualities of a statesman, a foresighted leader, an unparallel nation builder who for 30 years running, has had an excepti9onal inspiration to lead Cameroonians in spite of their diversity, peace, stability and reinforced national unity”. He called on the militants to above all, mobilize and register on the biometric registration registers massively so as to support the CPDM candidates vying for either parliamentary or council seats come 2013.
The Mezam I WCPDM president, Mbah Miriam and YCPDM president, Peter Chene, in their respective speeches, observed that at 30 years at the helm of the nation, President Paul Biya has without any qualms, garnered a lot of experience that Cameroonians cannot afford to lose him as the head of the state. They saw Biya as a born leader who is dynamic, God fearing and courageous.
Counting Biya’s achievements in 30 years, the duo said all the nooks and crannies of the county teem with educational institutions, the recent employment of 25.000 youths into the civil service, creation of enabling environment for both public and private business to strive, consolidating democracy in the country through hundreds of political parties and above all, introducing biometric system of voter-registration to ensure transparent, free and fair voter registration and elections in the country.
Harping on the ongoing biometric registration of the voters, Fru Angwafor, leader of the central committee delegation to the occasion, said the militants should not celebrate and forget to massively register ahead of the 2013 twin elections. He said means have already been made available to Mezam 1A, B and C to assist CPDM officials to go on a door-to-door mobilization and sensitization of militants to massively register. He ipso facto enjoined all to support Paul Biya, the champion of leadership by registering massively in the ongoing voter registration.
Atanga Feeds Thousands
If there’s one thing the militants went home doffing their hats to Minister Paul Atanga Nji, it was the 3 live cows he eked out to the CPDM militants of Mezam 1A, B and C. Each of the sections carted home a cow each for the feasting of the thousands of militants that November 06, 2012.
SDF Ungratefulness
Although the Mezam 1 CPDM militants were drown in celebration of their national president’s 30 years anniversary in power, they did not forget to curse the SDF leadership for ungratefulness. The party bigwigs at the occasion were all flabbergasted that no SDF baron; even the North West SDF Regional Chairman, Hon Njong Evaristus, bothered to attend the celebration just to wish them well.
According to the CPDM bigwigs, SDF leadership is an ingrate. They said in the recent SDF convention in Bamenda, their (CPDM) national chairman Paul Biya did not only despatch a high-level delegation led by the Minister of Employment, Gregoire Owona, but equally sent millions of FCFA to assist the SDF run the convention successfully. They counted several occasions that Biya has financially assisted SDF chairman, Fru Ndi in person, especially when he sponsored Rose Ndi to be evacuated to Switzerland for medical attention before she died and how Minister Gregoire Owona personally attended Fru Ndi’s 70 years birthday celebration in Bamenda with financial and material gifts; “yet the SDF leadership saw no reason to reciprocate our goodies to that party”.
