Ndam Njoya, Kah Walla, Ben Muna, JD Momo & Ayah Paul To Create
G-5
By Musa Isa
A group of opposition political
parties operating under the appellation “G-7” has been crossed by recent
happenings within their folk. On Wednesday November 7, 2012 therefore, amongst
the dreaded decisions they would reach would be to flush-out Ni John Fru Ndi,
the SDF National Chairman from their rank. Also, Albert Dzongang of La Dynamique too would be axed. The
group would thus be left with five - Ndam Njoya (CDU), Kay Walla (CPP), Ben
Muna (APF), Jean Didier Momo and Ayah Paul of PAP.
Should
groundworks put in place ahead of Wednesday’s conclave in Yaounde be anything to go by, then Fru Ndi
would seize to be a member of G-7 and allowed to work out his deal with the
CPDM of Paul Biya.
Chronicle however learnt that all G-7
members had been decided to see Fru Ndi out. Accordingly, they were crestfallen
by reports on the way the SDF Chairman received and acclaimed the CPDM
delegation at the last SDF convention in Bamenda, headed by Gregoire Owona.
Apart from
Albert Dzongang, who attended, all five members of G-7 boycotted the SDF
convention. Chronicle learnt that the
boycott was precipitated by the way Fru Ndi handled the last G-7 summit, which
he hosted at his Ntarinkon palace. He rebuked the representatives of APF and
CPP. Fru Ndi was so full of himself giving indications of a major split.
Critics have
however vomited out that Fru Ndi invited Paul Biya for its convention as a
strategy to lend support from CPDM, some G-7 members to whom Chronicle spoke to, were embarrassed by
the new found romance, which Fru Ndi, an opposition leader had created with
CPDM. “What then would Fru Ndi be opposing again?” many questioned.
By press time, Chronicle gathered that Fru Ndi had been
invited for the G-7 conclave in Yaounde
on Wednesday. A source at Ntarinkon however hinted Chronicle that Fru Ndi will not attend. His boycott would thus
confirm his exit from the coalition.
G-7 would
henceforth become G-5. Their strategy, Chronicle
learnt is to effect change in Cameroon;
Yet, have been wondering how with Fru Ndi now romancing with Biya, nothing is
left to chant.
